This work consists of a series of interconnected merchandise designs created for Ore Dock Brewing Company. While creating this piece I was introduced to the slogan “where craft beer and community meet”. Quickly realizing its potential, I used this slogan as the foundation for the imagery and ideas presented in this series. Ore Dock’s involvement with events such as the Marquette Blues Festival, Michigan Ice Festival, and the famous Angry Bear Festival, among many others, demonstrates their love and commitment towards the community and bringing people together. Each design depicts one of three major themes that I feel defines Marquette culture, themes that are also directly embraced by Ore Dock Brewing Company. Together, a stitched panorama is formed, promoting and encouraging a sense of community through connection, while also embracing the interests of each individual.
