My work creates an avenue to celebrate obscure places close to my heart. Growing up I sent and received postcards from exotic travel places. I thought it would be inspirational to create cards for places across Michigan where I have visited to reminisce about time that I spent in each location, such as in my favorite spot in the woods. On the back of each postcard there is a narrative of what the place means to me and the memories connected to it. I hope that this series of my favorite memories reminds viewers of their own special places.
