The Art Review AD303 course represents an important benchmark for a student progressing through the Art & Design Majors. Students will enroll in the AD303 course based on the timing of their portfolio development. This is an individual decision determined by the student and the Art Faculty Mentor in their chosen concentration.
The Art Faculty Mentor in their chosen concentration will work closely with the student to suggest project refinements and/or additional new works. Students will practice presenting their work both in class and with the advice of their faculty members. Students will write statements about their artwork portfolios receiving examples and advice from faculty. In short as a art and design student you will be supported through the whole process so please take advantage of those resources available to you in order to be successful.
The 499 Senior Capstone course will typically be taken in the last semester of a students progression through the School of Art & Design and will include a senior exhibition in the DeVos Art Museum showcasing projects completed by senior students. The Senior Capstone course will also provide students with professional practice advice including approaches to the next steps after graduation.
Please talk with your Art & Design Faculty Mentor before enrolling for Art Review Courses they can provide the advice on the proper timing for an individual student to take the courses.
