The show encompassed students artwork regarding anything from personal experiences they drew inspiration from to artistic styles of the past. The show will be juried by a profesional artist and by the Ore Dock and some pieces will move to that venue for a second show in January!

Citizenship of the Body

March 27 - April 29

A juried art exhibition that showcases work by current NMU students that explores our varying experiences surrounding what it means to be a citizen and how we are perceived as citizens. Submissions were open to all types of media and responded to and reflected upon issues raised by the 2017 NMU Diversity Common Reader selection, Citizen: An American Lyric by Claudia Rankine.
