Jessie Miller is a potter, currently located in Marquette, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art with a concentration in Ceramic Arts from Northern Michigan University in May 2020. Primarily working with stoneware and focusing on functional pottery her wheel thrown and slip casted work is a unique combination of organic but structured forms. She draws influence from her job as a resident advisor by watching the communications of humans and their interactions with her ceramics. Jessie’s work has been shown in many galleries in the U.S.A. She has also shown her work in Nepal. Beyond clay, Jessie is interested in hiking, skiing, and exploring with her friends and dogs, painting, baking and growing her own fruits and vegetables in her garden.
