Mouse in hand, Photoshop users compete against each other in creative combat. Teams and individuals will compete for prizes and prestige in a frantic image-making battle. Projects will be announced at the competition and each battle will last exactly one hour. That’s right - one hour to plan and execute a complete Photoshop project... that means scanning, shooting photos, drawing, collage, design, and all of the assembly.
Two battles will take place: a team competition (2-4 members per team) and a solo competition. Competitors may enter both battles. Bring working materials such as photos, objects to scan, drawings, sketchbooks, even the kitchen sink - the theme is not announced in advance so plan for the worst. ALL materials must be created by the competitors (i.e. no stock photo, clip art, images downloaded from the web, images scanned from books or magazines, etc.).
Prizes to be awarded based on a faculty panel and a separate Audience Choice Award. Registration will occur before the events. Computers, cameras, and scanners will be available; laptops may be used.
Any Art & Design student may participate.
You do not have to be enrolled in a specific class or major.
Solo battle starts at 1:30pm
Solo battle registration will occur from 1:00 - 1:20
Team battle starts at 3:00pm
Team battle registration will occur from 2:30 - 2:50
