The Permanent Collection

The DeVos Art Museum has a permanent collection of over 1,000 objects. Assembled over the past twenty years primarily by gifts from generous donors, the collection has grown to achieve an impressive breadth and depth of holdings. Some areas of the collection include:

- 20th Century illustration
- 20th Century design
- Japanese art and artifacts
- Native American art and artifacts
- Inuit art and artifacts
- Regional Modern and Contemporary

In addition to gifts, the Friends of the DeVos Art Museum raise funds for purchasing pieces for the permanent collection by local artists, including pieces by graduating students in the BFA exhibition.
