The University Art Museum is in the continual process of creating an outdoor Sculpture Walk that is a permanent part of the campus. The wooded area adjacent to Art and Design South provides the environment for the sculpture works. A handicap accessible path meanders through the area.
The artwork has all been donated to the museum by nationally recognized sculptors from around the country. Major support funding for this exciting project has come from the Friends of the University Art Museum. Also Dale Wedig, Marvin Zehnder and William Leete from our own Department of Art and Design have work as a part of the sculpture walk.
The list of artists included is impressive:
Sol LeWitt from New York
Michael Todd from Los Angeles
Lorrie Goulet from New York City
Mara Admitz Scrupe from Washington D.C.
John Mishler from Chicago, Illinois
Rico Eastman from Santa Fe, New Mexico
Suzanne Johnson from Detroit, Michigan
