Upcoming Friends Events

The 3rd Annual Friends of the DeVos Art Museum Boat Cruise
Thursday, August 21, 4-6pm
Mattson Park, Lower Harbor

The Boat Cruise will feature hors d’ oeuvres (prepared by the Board of Directors!), live music by The Amnesians (Marquette) and a cash bar as we cruise around Lake Superior. This will also be a great opportunity to meet Denise Burge (Cincinnati, Ohio) the museum’s artist-in-residence who will have a solo exhibition opening at the museum the following evening.

The Friends sponsor this event each year as a way to say “thank you” to the Museum’s members. The Cruise is offered free of charge with the purchase of a membership to the museum.

As an added bonus this year, we are offering all members a free one-year subscription to mutualart.com (a $300 value), a website that you can tailor to your interests to keep updated on the art world.

To renew or join and reserve a spot on the boat, please call or e-mail Andrea Wrubel at 227-2787 or awrubel@nmu.edu (with subject “Museum Boat Cruise”) before August 8. Space is extremely limited so sign up early!

Special thanks to Lynne Hammerstrom and Diane Kordich for their support of this event.
